B. Lynn Montgomery

B. Lynn Montgomery
Born
February 16, 1928 Lampasas County, Texas
Entered into Rest
September 6, 2006 Belton, Texas
I've known Lynn Montgomery all my life.
He was married to a lovely, sweet, endearing, caring, woman whom he loved with all his heart. They had a daughter, Jane. She is one of the most intelligent women I know. She is generous with her time and spirit, beautiful of countenance and soul.
Lynn also had a grandaughter. She is beautiful and smart, caring and talented, just like her Mother and Grandmother before her.
Lynn also had two men in his life who loved him deeply and dearly. One is his son-in-law. The other in a cousin by marriage.
Before they became related to Lynn by marriage, they were his students in Bible class. Lynn was a Deacon in his Church and a Bible teacher, with his beloved wife for 33 years.
He touched the lives of innumerable people during his own life.
He was a Sailor in World War II. He was a Soldier in the Korean conflict. Now he will rest in the newly dedicated Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas. Since he is one of the first veterans to be laid to rest there, his grave will be in the front, and can be seen from the road. A fitting resting place for a man who served his country so well, I think.
I hope that all the friends and family who gathered to pay tribute to Lynn will bring a measure of comfort to his daughter and son-in-law and grandaughter.
I ask that you will keep this family in your prayers as they go through their grieving process.
