Well, My Diagnostic Skills...

are as good as ever. Went to the Doc today, got 3 X-rays taken and sure enough, the lowest bone in the pinky is broken. No displacement, which is kinda surprising since it's in 2 freakin' pieces! Tendon and soft tissue damage to the ring and middle fingers.

Because of the Break, I'll be going to the Bone Doc tomorrow. More news then.

For now, I'm taking an Ultram and hittin' the hay. See y'all tomorrow.

Okay...THAT sucks.

Hope things start feeling better soon. I had so much trouble with a broken toe...I can't imagine having to deal with a broken finger.

YOU GOT YOUR FINGER CAUGHT IN A DOG LEASH AND ACTUALLY BROKE A BONE? Two words - osteo perosos? Or is that one word? Anyway, Jesus! You poor thing. From your description it sounds like your hand got slammed really hard in a car door or something. I proscribe many, many drugs. I've got some codeine if yer up to it. Good Canadian over the counter pills.

Thanks for the good wishes, Lainy, my B'day Twin, and Squeaky Wheel.
No, Flo, I SHOULDA thought of that!
FHB, actually I have osteopenia, a precursor to osteoporosis.
BUT, have YOU ever been on the receiving end of 110 lbs of Muscular Yellow Lab determined to RUN full out in one direction when you had your hand wrapped in leash? It's small wonder I wound up w/ a broken bone and some injured tendons! Give a girl some sympathy. Thanks for the offer of drugs, I'm allergic to codeine. I'll stick w/ the Ultram, doesn't make me throw up or act goofy.

Damn! 110 lbs? That's like a person. I wasn't thinking about that. Forgot the earlier pooch post.

FHB, yeah, you're used to those cutey little pugs, Aren't you? I like my dogs a little bigger. Tipper Sharpton is the smallest of the "pack", for now...he's 4 mo. old now and weighs 35 lbs. He's almost as tall as Boo, but not as long as she is. His paws, however, are almost as big as Ben's.
Now Boo weighs 56 lbs, so she will wind up being the petite Baby. I don't think Tipper will be as big as Ben, at least I hope not. Time will tell though. I expect him to top out around 75 lbs. Not bad for a Boxer/Pointer cross.
