Merry Christmas Eve!

Well it's FINALLY here, my FAVORITE day of the year!
The presents are wrapped and under the tiny plantable tree. Last night I made 4 dozen small Reese's Cup Cookies and 1 dozen big ones. I made these early b/c they are rather time intensive.
Today I'll make the Pecan Pie and Blackberry Cobbler {the Dearly Beloved two FAV desserts.}.
Then I can sit back and enjoy the day.
I hope all of y'all will be able to do the same. I hope your evening is filled with Love and Laughter.
Merry Christmas Eve!

A couple of days late, but - - -

This is probably a good place to remark that H did indeed engineer and implement about ALL our Yuletide festivities. She was a bundle of energy, and, frankly, if she hadn't been, we wouldn't have enjoyed the season nearly so much.

Oh, I helpled out some - - Ran some errands, did some household cleanup, and tended to this-n-that. But H did the organization, cooking, and management, without which the entire thing would have been rather, uh, FLAT.

She wrapped ALL the gifts, except for what I gave her. I did stay up late Christmas Eve, putting together a double batch of my special banana pudding. Heck, I even cleaned up the kitchen after I had thoroughly messed it up.

Thanks, Darlin'

I believe you, JPG. Holly with a head of steam is a force to be reckoned with. Not having kids and grandkids, we opted for the more drawn-out Christmas: visiting with friends from out of town, 3 dinners with family and friends (so far ;-), and a lovely midnight service at church on Christmas eve.

Mm. Blackberry cobbler (or, actually dewberry cobbler) is my favorite dessert of all time. Moist lemon cake with lemon icing- like grandma used to make- is my second favorite.
