Book on the Nightstand

My Mother has been reading a series of Medical Thrillers/Mysteries by Michael Palmer. She gave me two last week that she thought I'd enjoy. I was reading the blurb on the back of one:

THE SOCIETY
At the headquarters of Boston's Eastern Quality Health, the powerful CEO is brutally murdered. She's not the first to die -- nor the last. A serial killer is on the loose and the victims have one thing in common: all are high-profile executives in the managed care industry.
Now, I ask you...what's not to like about THIS serial killer? He's killing the leeches who place profit above the health of folks who pay exorbitant premiums for health care coverage. If we could just get him to start smiting the Medicaid Abusers and scum who use Ambos as a taxi service, then we'd be making REAL progress. Oh, and how about the Ambulance chasin' Lawyers who file the frivolous/nuisance malpractice suits, don't leave them off your hit list either, Mr. Serial Killer.
Now, don't get me wrong. If a Doc screws up, and they aren't perfect, not all of them walk on water, y'know. But, there are waaay too many malpractice suits filed.

New best seller: "someone is stalking IRS auditors!" A rollicking comedy!

no shit! That's one serial killer I'd like to sponsor, frankly.

Sounds like a romance to me, Holly. Who is the hero that catches the killer, the Unibomber?

Really. A book like that gives hope to anyone who thinks their lame idea might fly. Lets see, anyone want to publish a book about a sniper who takes out those code enforcement people who give people tickets for having tall grass?

So Holly,
Is it "eww" for the crunchy bugs or the dish water?

Greetings from across the pond.

Thanks for the idea for books to read. I've ordered all of them that the library has here in England.
