I am one happy camper !!!
Just got a call from one of my insurance adjusters {I have 3}. Turns out little Miss Reckless, I'm in too much of a hurry to stop at this "Stop" sign, Driver does indeed have liability insurance. They will call me tomorrow with more info.
In addition to recouping the money State Farm had to pay out for the value of my Ranger they totaled {that was adjuster #1}; they will recoup the $2500 in Personal injury expenses {that's adjuster #2}and the $240 for the rental car and whatever the towing and storage expenses were {that's adjuster #3}; then whatever is left of her liability coverage will go to cover Mother's medical bills and mine that are over and above my paltry PIP coverage.
I just knew she was lying about not having insurance. Also, when I picked up my copy of the accident report today, I discovered she was driving with an invalid driver's license and the Officer didn't even cite her for THAT!!! I'm ready to put her head on a pike on the Courthouse Lawn and he gives her a pass on the expired DL, for Criminey's Sake.
Grumble, Grumble, Grumble.
Guess I'll just have to go drive my new Convertible and get back in a good mood!

That little heifer - I'm glad you busted her. And what's with the cop giving her a free pass on the license thing - was she batting big cow eyes at him? That's insane.
